Time Changes Everything

So, the idea for "Time Changes Everything" came upon me randomly. I was a little offended by the fact that everyone takes these itty bitty skinny models and turns them into great works of art or they take the larger sized models and shrink them down into itty bitty models and then use them. Why is it that what we consider to be "beauty" is determined by the size we wear? I, personally, am not a size two. And, I'm not knocking the models who are either. We are all beautiful the way we are; the way that God intended us to be. With that thought in mind, I searched for a "plus sized" model to work with and decided that I would turn her into my newest work of art. The idea of the clock and the title is that, indeed, time does change everything. Once upon a time, curvy women were considered more beautiful than skinny women. In this modern day and age, we consider skinnier people to be more beautiful. Hence, time changes everything. The idea of the curtain is meant to represent the fact that we are, at all times, performing on the world's stage, trying to be who we are and love ourselves for who we are, and yet, still being judged by the world. The forest and the checkered background represent DA and other artists, who tend to use the same themes in their work, and yet, who never use the plus sized models without altering them and making them into skinny models. Again, I'm not knocking anyone for their preferences. I'm just stating that beauty comes in all forms, sizes, colors, races, genders and sexual preferences. We all have a right to be who we are and when we embrace that, love ourselves for all of our flaws, imperfections and uniqueness, then that is true beauty at it's most perfect.
